July 5, 2016-Thyroid Disease and Fibromyalgia

July 5, 2016

My thyroid medications are still being adjusted. I am taking synthroid and liothyronine (cytomel). I am still very exhausted easily, but no fast heartbeats or panicky feelings. My Free T3s are not high enough to feel good, but if I am given more liothyronine then I become more hyperthyroid.

Depression comes and goes. I was taking 50,000 units of Vitamin D a week. My labs were still low for Vitamin D so the doctor increased that to 50,000 units of Vitamin D  twice a week.

Recently, my fibromyalgia muscle pain has been bothering me more.  I realized that 30-45 minutes after eating a meal, my muscle pain would hit me. Perhaps it is related to the foods I am eating. I have decided to focus on the low oxalate diet. I will try to reduce the amount of nuts, chocolate, carrots, peanut butter, broccoli and other foods that are supposed to be healthy but are on the no list for an oxalate diet. Worth a try.
